We had a regular size cat door for several years - but last winter adopted a male British Shorthair who, after enjoying the life of regular meals and veterinary care, became a tight fit. Eventually it broke. This door gives him plenty of room to get through comfortably. It's a hit with all of us!UPDATE: 5 YEARS LATERThis door is STILL working! We have it installed in a board that fits into an opening created by leaving a small window open. Cats jump up onto trashcan (used to store 30 lbs bird seed) top and then onto sill and out the window onto bulkhead roof (aka "the kitty beach"). Have had 4-7 cats use this repeatedly for the past 5 years. Yes, the locks get a little funky after all this time and sometimes lock a kitty out for a while, but that's not a big deal and they've learned to stop playing with the buttons so they don't do that very often. As another reviewer noted, you can fix this problem by placing a toothpick between buttons so they won't move.We previously had other cat door brands....all broke within a year or so. I HIGHLY recommend this brand!
We installed this in a sliding screen door. It was easy to install and looks good. However, our cat could not learn to use the plastic cat door. The magnet was too strong, and if we "helped" her through, the plastic door would fall on her tail and freak her out. I contacted the company that makes it hoping there was a way to remove the magnet. There isn't. They had no suggestions. We replaced the door with a makeshift screen door and it works great. This door should be made with a screen flap option. If you are putting it in a screen door, then you don't need the flap to be solid. It would be nice if they provided a screen flap with a lightweight frame and a weak magnet.
Dog leash is super easy to use - retracts very smoothly! I have two energetic dogs, and they both do really well on these leashes. 5/5 - would definitely recommend!
I have tried many leashes to walk two dogs. This is the sturdiest. I have found. It rotates to prevent tangling. The gel handle is light weight and comfortable.
I have walked my two Jack-Russell terriers with this leash and I couldn't be much happier. It sure beats the tangle of two leashes and I haven't had any problems. The "ball" that turns helps me keep the lines straight. I don't use the "brakes" much because the dogs are walked in an area where restriction of them is not an issue. This leash has already beat the length of time of two other leashes. Appreciate the product!
