This is s great product. I was skeptical when I ordered, but now converted. The design and ergonomics are great. Most of all, I like the fact that the wheel mechanism inside does not make loud clacking noise when the leash is in "locked" position. The pulling of the dog and the swinging arms inevitably creates the noise. One star off, because the release mechanism gets disengaged a little too easily.One suggestion: my 66 lbs. excited golden retriever puppy chews on the leash during the first minutes of the walk or when we start to run. The leash hasn't frayed yet, but I can see it happening. Why not put a double layer of the material or use a stronger material for the first couple of feet of the leash.
The flashlight works well although my dog is a freak when it comes to lights so it wont get a whole lot of use. The doggie bags will come in very handy while out on the disc golf course when my dog drops a deuce out on the fairway. We have a 70# boxer and it doesn't feel like this thing will break when she pulls on it.
Maybe I'm the only one to ever install a cat door in a steel garage door, but this door works fine for this also. I installed this glass door cat door in a steel garage door and it worked fine. Also the flap lock work well. Charles
So far, so good. Had the lock not grab just one time but I think it was operator error. Puppy is getting use to hearing the click & knowing he has some boundaries but some freedom too. It's been dropped a few times when trying to put onto the collar (wish the clip was a little larger) & it seems durable. Lighting is really helpful but I take light off unless dark & also the baggy container when just in front yard.
Overall, we are happy with this product. It arrived quickly and was packaged nicely. I ordered the light one for my 20 pound dog and it has been working well. It reflectors on the leash, so walking at night we are able to be seen easily. The handle feels very comfortable and there is plenty of room for those that have bigger hands as well. My dog loves the length that the leash allows him to go off and explore more than usual. My one complaint is with the button that stops the length. It sticks on the stop position automatically and sometime causes a tangle. I feel like once I get a hang of it though that won't be much of a problem, I am just not used to retractable leashes yet! Overall a great, well made product.
For under $20, our dog has a new, sturdy leash that is easy to hold and control. The light and bag dispenser features are free bonuses that make our walks easy - just throw his harness on, loop on his leash, and we are off. We would buy this product again.
