I have 2 dogs, about 35lbs and ~20lbs. I can confidently recommend this to anyone who might think it's a gimmick, or cheaply built, prone to failing and tangling. Not true at all...I really love this leash. It has made walks a lot easier and more enjoyable for me and the dogs.Pros:- Solidly built. After a few months of heavy use, there are no signs of wear, aside from the swivel rotating more smoothly, which is a good thing.- It does exactly what it's supposed to do. It's really good at untangling itself as the dogs criss cross in different directions to smell things, etc.- If 2 dogs run up behind you on either side of you, you can very easily pull the leash over your head (I call it a ballerina move), which is easier than stepping over one of the lines (ropes?).- You now have a free hand for coffee, keys, etc.- When dogs run in opposite directions, your arms remain in their sockets, and all the kinetic energy is absorbed by the dogs. You just need to hold it in place.- The locking mechanisms work very well. Although the lock buttons can be difficult to fully engage if there is tension on the leash.Cons:- Be careful that your dog's weight is within the product parameters. If the dog is too small, it won't retract fast enough, leaving too much slack. Not even really a con.- Pretty expensive...I almost didn't buy it. glad I did though.- There's about a foot & a half of leash hanging from the roll when they're rolled up as far as they go. I would suggest making this customizable so people could choose to have less slack when fully wound instead. Or you could allow for both leashes to wind all the way up, so the bottom of the metal connector touches the round spool. Would make for easier storage at home or in a coat pocket.Overall, great product, works exactly I hoped.
