I am not normally a person who uses retractable leashes. I've been wrapped up in them while training other dogs, taking my own dog to the dog park, and I hate the retractable leashes that are like a metal wire. Even the cheaper cloth ones break really easily and I always see pet owners tying them back. I never have liked the non consistency of walking with a leash with a dog who isn't good on a leash and doesn't pull. However, thankfully we have worked with our dog so much and he's so good on leash, he did awesome on this one! We love the reflective part of it because we do like to take night walks sometimes. I also love that the leash itself is thicker than most. It has a soft handle and it retracts so nicely. It won't be our everyday leash just because he's not used to. The retractable part actually freaked him out since he had never seen one before. But he soon learned that it was part of going for a walk. We live in Florida, and thankfully we live really close to a dog friendly beach, as long as we keep him on leash. I'll definitely continue to use this for beach purpose because I can extend it all the way out and he doesn't go too far away but far enough to play with his ball on the beach. He's used to his long lead which is about 16 feet, but what I like about this is that it doesn't get as tangled up as his long lead on the beach. I wish he didn't have to be on a leash on the beach, but per our city laws, he has to be. I'm so glad we have a retractable now. Easy to carry and hold and so easy to use.
This leash makes walking my pup a whole lot easier. I went with the large despite my dog only being 45 lbs as a percaution as I've had bad experiences with other brands of retractable leashes. It is a very well made comfortable leashes for both skipper and I. Gives him the freedom to sniff while still allowing me to stay in control of the walk. Excellent leash
We have 2 Lab-Great Dane mix litter mates. Needless to say, long walks are important. This is a superior product , beautifully crafted, and most importantly, comfortable to use. It's a sold value at the price. Better than what we found at local pet store chains.
It's the best retractable we've owned. Comfortably fits my hands. It's almost perfect. I would have liked to have seen a larger buckle or one that could be locked in place once connected to the harness.
I thought that this item was great! I normally don't go for retractable leashes but I loved this style. I found the reflective part to be a lifesaver. I have a black dog and anything that that is reflective helps me feel much safer for my dog and I. My one downside (and this might be because I have never had a retractable leash) was that it was just a tad heavy. Other than that, I love this leash. I use it almost everyday with my dog now. I like how I can keep him close for a nice heel when we are working. When we are having a more relaxed session it's perfect for my dog to explore a little more. Great product, go buy it.
Great leash. A little stiff at first, but it softens as you use it. Well made, and the braid is a nice touch. I use it when I walk/train my 75 lb. lab. I would recommend. Lavien products all seem to be well made.
I had the pitbull on it the other day and she didn't break the leash. She pulled with all her might. She isn't the best at walking on a leash. There is one thing that sometimes when the leash goes to come back in it gets twisted and stuck. This only happens very rarely, but it is annoying. The spot where the leash comes back in is very narrow.
It works great easy to install I'm very happy with it!!!
This is a really nice leash. It fits in my hand nicely and is easy to retract. It does not bind up or twist.
