This purchase was an update to my previous (smaller) Cat Mate Door that I bought 8 years ago. It still worked fine but my FAT cat was having to squeeze through it! :)Updating was even quicker, only having to enlarge three sides of the hole, and it went smoothly. Cats happy. Mission accomplished!
Works great and has made walking my two hyperactive dogs SO MUCH easier. The two leashes do still twist around each other sometimes but you just have to spin the swivel thing a few times which is super easy and takes 2 seconds, whereas before with two separate leashes I was having to pull them through/over/under to try and untangle the mess! My ONLY negative feedback is just that the actual length of the leashes doesn't extend out very far. If they made these leashes double the length, I'd be a lifelong customer.
This leash is working great. Our dog is a bit wild and can really put stress on her leash, so I tend to replace them after a year or two rather than wait for a leash to fail. The strap on this is wider than her previous leash, so I feel more confident it will hold up to her antics.I am 6' 4" and have pretty large hands. The handle is big enough for me to comfortably hold the lease without my fingers getting cramped, even with winter gloves on. The angle of the handle makes it very easy to restrain her without stressing my wrist. The brake button is larger than any leash I've previously used, and is very easy to use.
This leash is of great quality and locks in place when needed and stretches quite a distance for your furry friend to comfortably walk a further distance.
My dog is 65 pounds. The leash is heavy, understandably because it is for a dog weighing up to 100 pounds, but it is heavy enough for me to not want to use it for long walks. It is well constructed, very strong materials, and a nice swivel clip. The locking mechanism is also well made and easy to use; my only complaint is that I cannot figure out how to "pause" the leash without locking it into place. Very nice retractable leash, but won't be my go-to for walking the dogs.
Leash is great! I wasn't sure what to expect when I was ordering it since the price is so reasonable but it arrived so nicely in a box and everything. The handle is very comfortable. It is very sturdy. I would definitely recommend others try this leash.
My husband was able to install this in our metal door that goes into the garage. He had no complaints. The cats use it. It is well made and swings easy. I like the different locking features it has. Would definitely recommend.
Good quality leash but a little heavy and bulky for me, it looks like very well made and that is why it might be this heavy and bulky, but with walking two dogs it was too cumbersome handling these leashes.
The first thing I noticed when I started looking at the collar was the durability. I am VERY impressed at how durable the cord is! Also, I love how comfortable the handle grip is! I really like the colors. The metal clasp is very easy to clip and sturdy at the same time. I am very confident that it would not fall off or break even with my 80-ish pound dog (who's not always very gentle or calm). I am not very fond of the button to lock the leash from going any further, because it gets stuck sometimes and is not the easiest to lock in place quickly (as you often need to do when walking your dog in a public setting). This would not be the best leash to train with but, overall, I would buy this product again, and recommend it to people with leash trained dogs.
With the right tools (jig saw and drill) this is super easy to install. It took me about half an hour to install in my wooden door. My 13 pound cat has no problem going in and out the door.
