When we got our first dog several years ago, our professional trainer highly recommended a leather leash, which we did purchase but it wasn't the same as this one! The Lavien braided leather leash is of superb quality (I believe it will give us several years of use) and has made walking our new dog so much more comfortable! The package arrived on time, and I thought the packaging itself was very professional/attractive. We will not hesitate to order from this company again.
It's a nice product. To use it on an interior door, I replaced the paneled door with a flat slab interior door. Then we can always change the door back to the original once we no longer need it. The magnet is a bit too strong for an indoor application. Took a couple of tries with treats for the bigger cat to learn. He doesn't like that it snaps down on his tail. Just the right size for our 15 lb cat. Our 13 lb cat never figured it out. So we would probably have to remove the flap for her to use it.
The "ribbon" slides out easily and stays in place. Dylan, the leash killer, hasn't made a dent! This leash is truly a work of quality and is keeping my Beagle safe.
Great for solo walkers with 2 dogs. We use them with our mini poodle and toy poodle (30 lbs combined) who are frisky and curious! They haven't gotten tangled from switching directions back and forth, thanks to this. With the old traditional leashes I had to constantly re-arrange the leashes in my hand or try to handle 2 retractable leashes at the same time. We also have a third dog and I walk him with my other hand. Wish there was an invention to keep them from running in circles around me, too!
So far, so good. Had it for about a week. Well built, sturdy, retracts well and smoothly. Our doggie is about 12 pounds and is VERY active on his walks.
Wasn't sure how I was going to like having both dogs on one leash. One has very short legs and one runs everywhere he goes. This leash is awesome. They move very independently and we have had no problems with getting tangled up. Even my dog walker loves this leash.

Just got my leash yesterday and so far I really like it. It is comfortable to hold, not to bulky or heavy, and I am able to lock it easily.
