When I purchased this product, I was expecting to have to use some wooden shims since I thought this cat door was made for thicker doors. However, I was able to install it in a thin (1/4" thick) panel door without using any wooden spacers. The liner (i.e. the part of the door that would line the inside of the cutout in your door) can be cut down using a box cutter. This makes it so you can put this on doors of varying width. The installation was pretty easy and took me a little less than half an hour from start to finish, including removing the door from it's hinges. I used: box cutter, jig saw, tape measure, and a drill.I am pleased with the look, but not very pleased with how flimsy the locks feel. That said, I'm using this on an interior door and don't plan to lock my cat in her space.
My previous leash that was made in Germany kept breaking so I decided to give this one a shot. No regrets whatsoever. High quality product with long and robust leash.
Customer service has been great. Two days after getting this, we were using it and my neighbor's rather forceful dog made mad dash for us and didn't see the leash connected to our dog - she "clothes-lined" herself on it, yanking the line all the out (we didn't have it locked), flipping over, flipping our dog over and broke our leash. My son was excited about getting a retractable leash and was annoyed with the other dog breaking it so soon. I told the seller about this and they were nice enough to send us a replacement. I really appreciate their generosity and would have understood having to pay for another one as this was no fault of the leash.
This is a great leash! It has a perfect length and has a strong hold. It is easy to use but the only thing I didn't like is that it's a little too big but not a deal breaker. Other than that, it's perfect and I will be purchasing another one soon for my other dog.
Worked exactly as described. Easy to install and great price. Took the cat about three days to be proficient and I love that it closes efficiently. Living in Florida you gotta keep that AC from going out the door.
I just have to keep reminding my dogs that's it is there. The one dog stands next to the dog door and I say," DOG DOOR!" Then he goes right through. It is great when it's 4 am and he has to go. So I lay in bed and say,"DOG DOOR!" and he goes through. He's finally getting trained to use it. It is very convenient. Bev
I got this to replace a leather leash I've had for more than 20 years -- it's every bit as good as that old leash was and, in this day and age, it's not easy to find something of this quality.
